The Company enjoys a high proportion of repeat business from existing public and private sector clients. Current and past clients include local authorities, private individuals, independent and state funded schools, business and property developers.
Over the past few decades the construction industry has made great progress in collaborative methods of procuring of works including open book negotiation. F.T.Allen has significant experience of dealing with schemes encompassing both formal and informal partnering. Projects are often procured using the PPC2000 Partnering Contract or alternatively some schemes using the NEC3 form of contract. F.T.Allen can provide comprehensive advice on the partnering process from procurement through to completion.
Traditional forms of procurement still play a major role in the industry and F.T. Allen has a wealth of experience in providing detailed advice and assistance for both pre and post-contract phases of projects. Whether procured as a fully designed scheme or design and build, F.T. F.T. Allen is a Chartered Surveying practice and is regulated by the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors (R.I.C.S.).
The Company operates formal quality and environmental management systems and is accredited to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.
We are also members of Constructionline, a UK government certified register for pre-qualified consultants and contractors.

Ben Graves BSc (Hons), MRICS
Associate
Having joined the company in 2010, Ben has established himself as a key member of the team achieving promotion to Associate Director in 2013. With over 10 years of experience, past projects include a wide variety of schemes such as multi-million regeneration projects, schools, residential schemes and historical buildings throughout the South East and London.
Ben is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Peter Kent FRICS, ACIArb
Director
Peter joined the Company in 1972.
Peter has over 40 years’ experience within the construction industry working on a wide range of project types. Peter is a Fellow of the Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors and an Associate of the Chartered institute of Arbitrators.
Mike Rolfe MSc, FRICS, MAPM
Director
Mike joined the Company in 1985.
Mike has over 30 years’ experience within the construction industry and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Member of the Association of Project Managers.
In addition to traditional procurement Mike has extensive experience of formal partnering covering a variety of project types.
